Roosters Coach Values Integrity Over Intel

‘Not the right thing to do’: What Trent Robinson won’t be asking DCE to do before Manly return

In anticipation of the upcoming match, Roosters coach Trent Robinson has clarified his stance regarding Daly Cherry-Evans' role in sharing insights about Manly.

Robinson has not directly requested Cherry-Evans to reveal Manly's "secrets," stating that it would be inappropriate to do so.

This game marks Cherry-Evans' first encounter with his former teammates, coinciding with his return to 4 Pines Park.

Considering Cherry-Evans' extensive knowledge of Manly's roster and coach Anthony Seibold, there seems to be an opportunity for the Roosters to gain from his experience.

However, Robinson emphasized a measured approach, acknowledging that while certain insights could be beneficial, he won't be pressuring Cherry-Evans for complete disclosure.

"It's a real balance... I never like to ask, 'Rightio, tell me all the secrets'. I don't think that's right," Robinson remarked.

He also added, "I don't apply pressure like that. But any cues you can give about ground or an opposition player you're facing, if there's any benefit there, then he can offer that."

This highlights the respectful dynamic between Robinson and Cherry-Evans as they prepare for this significant clash.
