Sydney Roosters head coach Trent Robinson expressed his dissatisfaction with the decision to sin bin Sam Walker during their narrow victory over St George Illawarra Dragons.
Walker, returning to the NRL after a year away due to an ACL injury and a broken thumb, showcased some positive moments but also exhibited signs of rustiness.
In a frenetic start to the match, five tries were scored within the first 20 minutes before the game stabilized, culminating in a close win for the Roosters.
Walker was sin binned just before halftime, and although it did not directly affect the score, Robinson lamented the significant impact of the decision, noting that Walker's absence for ten minutes left the Roosters at a disadvantage with only 12 players on the field.
"Look, obviously you can't do that.
(But) I feel like that's a pretty heavy price for possibly the lowest contact that you could possibly put on a tackle," Robinson remarked during the post-match press conference.
