Sydney Roosters head coach Trent Robinson has issued a challenge to winger Mark Nawaqanitawase to address his unforced errors.
Nawaqanitawase, who is in his first full season as an NRL player after transitioning from rugby union, has played just 12 games and began his career in the centres before moving to the wing.
His shift to the wing followed the Roosters fielding a full-strength back five, leading to the dropping of Dominic Young.
While Nawaqanitawase has showcased some impressive skills on the wing, he has also encountered significant challenges.
Given that Young was benched for his mistakes and poor defensive choices, Nawaqanitawase now faces pressure to rectify similar issues in his game.
Despite some memorable highlights, including a spectacular try during a recent loss to the Canberra Raiders, he has struggled with errors.
Notably, he has failed to secure high balls in defensive situations, a problem that became apparent during a previous match against the Canterbury Bulldogs.
