The National Rugby League (NRL) has revealed the nominees for the 2023 NRLW Dally M Team of the Year and individual Dally M awards.
Cowboys trio have been nominated for the prestigious Dally M Awards, as reported by cowboys.com.au.
The Dally M Awards recognize the top performers in both the NRL Telstra Premiership and NRL Telstra Women's Premiership each year.
This year's awards will be presented on September 27 in Sydney.
To ensure fairness and accuracy, significant changes have been made to the Dally M voting process for the 2023 season.
Two independent judges now give out votes on a 3, 2, 1 basis for every game.
This means that players can earn a maximum of six votes per game, compared to the previous limit of three.
The addition of a second judge aims to eliminate potential variances that may arise from a single judge's voting.
There are specific eligibility criteria for the Dally M awards.
Any player suspended for a total of two NRLW regular season games will be ineligible for any Dally M award.
A one-game suspension results in a deduction of six points this year, compared to three points in previous seasons.
However, players who become ineligible due to suspension can still earn points in subsequent games to maintain the integrity of the voting process throughout the regular season.
The NRLW Dally M Team of the Year and individual awards will be highly anticipated by players, fans, and the rugby league community.
It will be interesting to see who emerges as the top performers in the NRLW competition in 2023.
