The Canberra Raiders extended their streak to three straight wins with a 34-24 victory over the South Sydney Rabbitohs at GIO Stadium on Saturday.
The contest was physical from the first whistle as the in-form Rabbitohs continually pressed back.
A six-again for a ruck infringement shifted play left, quick passes followed, and Ethan Strange ripped through to set up Owen Pattie for the opening try.
Sanders converted to make it 6-0.
Jed Stuart supplied a try assist and Hudson Young finished in the corner to push the lead to 10-0.
Souths replied when halfback Ashton Ward sliced through multiple defenders in the 16th minute to record their first points.
Ward's successful conversion narrowed the score to 10-6.
Later, Strange intercepted a Ward pass, sprinted clear and found Kaeo Weekes, who completed an end-to-end try.
