The South Sydney Rabbitohs have bolstered their lower-grade squads ahead of the 2026 season with a significant double forward signing.
After spending several years with the Penrith Panthers, forward prospect Siotame Hansen has chosen to leave the club and join the Rabbitohs, according to multiple sources.*
In 2019, Hansen was a member of the Under-15s Australian Schoolboys Merit squad alongside notable players Paul Alamoti and Robert Toia. He recently had a strong performance in the Under-21s Jersey Flegg Cup, starting as a front-row player in the grand final against the Melbourne Storm.
Capable of playing in both the back row and at lock, Hansen made his debut in the NSW Cup during Round 26 of this year, facing off against the Canberra Raiders. In that match, he recorded 78 running metres over 69 minutes on the field.
Joining Hansen at the Rabbitohs is Te Paeroa Wi Neera, who comes from the New Zealand Warriors after competing in the Under-19s SG Ball Cup earlier this year.
