South Sydney Rabbitohs forward Jacob Host has received three charges from the NRL's match review committee following Saturday night's Round 24 matches, but he will not face a suspension.
Parramatta Eels halfback Mitchell Moses and Brisbane Broncos centre Kotoni Staggs also received charges, but like Host, their penalties will only incur fines.
Host was penalized for a sixth-minute shoulder charge against Luca Moretti, along with two instances of dangerous contact in the 42nd and 43rd minutes involving Josh Addo-Carr and Matt Doorey, respectively. Despite these charges, his team managed a four-point victory over the Eels, helping them avoid the wooden spoon this season.
As it is Host's first offence and all charges are classified as Grade 1, he will incur a fine of $1000 for each dangerous contact charge if he submits an early guilty plea, or $1500 if he contests and loses. The shoulder charge could lead to a penalty of $1500 or $2000, depending on his plea.
Moses was charged in the same match for a Grade 1 careless high tackle on Thomas Fletcher during the 40th minute. He faces a fine of $1000 with an early guilty plea or $1500 if he contests the charge and is unsuccessful.
The match was notably chaotic, with South Sydney hooker Peter Mamouzelos and Parramatta second-rower Kelma Tuilagi also being put on report, although neither received charges.
