Queensland Rugby League (QRL) has unveiled its 20-man squad for the upcoming Under-19s State of Origin match at the Sunshine Coast next week.
The team features returning players Coby Black, Sam Stephenson, and Zac Garton, who were part of last year's U19s Maroons squad, alongside top talents from clubs across Queensland and New South Wales.
While this year's selection is commendable, a few notable players were omitted: Brian Poniou, Saxon Innes, Zac Herdegen, Braelan Marsh, Amare Milford, and Xzavier Timoteo did not make the cut.
Darius Boyd, a former fullback for the Broncos, Dragons, and Knights, has been appointed head coach for the Maroons.
His coaching staff includes Andrew McCullough and Jesse Maclean.
