Queensland Maroons coach Billy Slater has taken notice of Cronulla Sharks playmaker Braydon Trindall after his impressive performance against the South Sydney Rabbitohs.
Trindall, coming off a strong season in 2024, has continued his excellent form into the current season, standing out in Round 3 with a try and a try assist.
This has led to speculation that he could be a potential bolter for the Queensland representative team if Daly Cherry-Evans decides to retire from State of Origin.
Although Slater is keeping an eye on Trindall, he will have to compete with established players like Cameron Munster, Ezra Mam, and Tom Dearden for a spot on the team.
Slater acknowledged Trindall's Queensland eligibility, stating, "I'm fully aware that he's a Queenslander." Trindall's performance has certainly put him in contention for a Maroons jersey, and his consistent form will be crucial in securing a spot in the team amidst tough competition.
