Interest in the Papua New Guinea club has surged among players, with agent Steve Gillis noting increasing inquiries about potential opportunities at the organization.
While he has refrained from disclosing specific names, Gillis highlighted the appeal of PNG's financial advantages, particularly within a tax-free environment.
Already, PNG has secured seven signings despite restrictions on formal discussions until November 1.
The club initially gained the green light to acquire Jarome Luai and Alex Johnston, subsequently adding Connor Watson and Matty Lees from the Super League.
In May, Brian To'o also finalized his transition to PNG after informing the Penrith Panthers of his decision to leave at the conclusion of the 2027 season.
Additionally, rugby union players Zac Lomax and Joseph Manu have joined the ranks, marking significant progress as the club prepares for its inaugural season.
Though questions arise regarding salary cap management, the club is reportedly negotiating with Hudson Young and is considering a range of other talents once contract talks are permissible.
This includes potential interest in Nathan Cleary, the halfback for Penrith Panthers, NSW Blues, and the Australian Kangaroos.
During an appearance on Fanatics TV, Gillis conveyed players' curiosity about PNG's intentions, stating, "They certainly ask the question, would PNG be interested in me?"
He added, "You can't negotiate before November 1, but be assured New Guinea know every player that's off contract at the end of 2027."
