Kalani Going, a forward for the Penrith Panthers, has secured a one-year contract extension, ensuring his stay with the club through the 2027 season.
The 29-year-old player was slated to become a free agent at the end of this season, having initially joined Penrith from the New Zealand Warriors on a one-year deal.
Despite limited chances in the NRL, Going has excelled in the NSW Cup, participating in 17 matches and boasting an impressive tackle efficiency of 93.6 percent, along with 42 tackle breaks this year.
His remarkable performances in reserve grade follow a stellar 2025 season with the Warriors' NSW Cup team, where he was recognized as the club's NSW Cup Player of the Year, leading the team to a premiership and serving as captain.
Going's ability to perform consistently and his versatility across the forward pack have established him as a crucial depth player for the Panthers.
With four NRL appearances this season, he has also gained important first-grade experience.
Now, he will have the chance to establish a more prominent role on the first-grade squad when he returns for the 2027 season.
