Penrith lose three to Perth Bears

Board pressure strikes Perth Bears, CEO’s role in jeopardy

Perth Bears have signed three Panthers before their inaugural season.

Penrith announced six exits Tuesday after its preliminary-final defeat to Newcastle.

Nearly all are headed to Perth or Canterbury-Bankstown.

Jack Cole, Liam Henry and Scott Sorensen are joining Perth.

Cole and Henry made their NRL debuts together in 2022, both scoring tries.

Cole signed through 2029 on a three-year deal; Henry's four-year contract ends in 2030.

Henry and Sorensen bring premiership experience to Mal Meninga's squad after Penrith's four straight titles.

Sorensen signed a two-year Bears contract through 2028.

Hooker Freddy Lussick and Jesse McLean will join the Bulldogs.

The club confirmed Lussick's two-year deal Tuesday; he joined Penrith from the Warriors on a one-year contract and covered injured Mitch Kenny from April until season's end.

McLean debuted in 2023, has four first-grade games, and starred in NSW Cup, earning a chance at Belmore.
