Wigan Warriors rising star Jack Farrimond made waves at Magic Weekend with his impressive try against St Helens; Wigan is gearing up to take on Hull FC at home this Sunday.
Get ready to catch all the action of Round 23 of the Betfred Super League season starting Friday, live on Sky Sports+.
Apart from Jack Farrimond's family, there are few who would have been prouder of the 18-year-old's performance at Magic Weekend than his coach Matt Peet.
Peet couldn't help but feel a surge of pride as Farrimond, playing alongside Adam Keighran in an unusual half-back combo, delivered a stellar performance in Wigan's 20-0 victory over St Helens, solidifying their spot in the top two of the Super League standings.
Farrimond's standout moment came with a try off his own kick at Elland Road, leaving Peet feeling reminiscent of past young talents that have risen through the ranks at Wigan.
Peet commented, "When a youngster is fighting for their spot in the team and you see all the supporters who have been backing them through the years, it's those heart-pounding moments as a coach that really get you going.
And then they start bugging you for a bigger paycheck!"
