Panthers supporters have come under fire for their questionable behavior towards Melbourne Storm players Harry Grant and Jahrome Hughes following Penrith's triumph in the NRL grand final.

The Panthers secured their fourth consecutive NRL premiership with a 14-6 win over the Storm on Sunday night, leaving the Melbourne players visibly devastated on the field.

However, the Storm's anguish was compounded by some unpleasant treatment from Panthers fans, who mercilessly booed Hughes during a post-match interview and Grant during his runner-up speech.

Despite their commendable sportsmanship, both players were subjected to jeers from the crowd, causing outrage on social media.

During Hughes' interview with Channel 9's Danika Mason, Panthers fans showed a lack of respect by booing the Dally M medal winner for no apparent reason.

The same disrespectful behavior was displayed towards Storm captain Grant during the official presentation, despite his dignified and gracious response in the face of defeat.

The unsportsmanlike conduct of Panthers fans towards the Storm players has prompted criticism and backlash, tarnishing what should have been a celebratory moment for Penrith.

The incident serves as a reminder that sportsmanship and respect should always remain paramount in rugby league, regardless of the outcome.
