Pangai Junior Joins Hull KR This Season

Tevita Pangai Junior is poised to make his return to professional rugby league with Hull KR, having signed with the team coached by Willie Peters through the remainder of the season.

Peters, who is set to depart Hull at the year's end to lead the PNG Chiefs for their inaugural NRL season in 2028, has recruited Pangai Junior as he seeks to bolster the club's quest for additional achievements.

The dynamic forward, now 30, had signed with Warrington earlier this year but did not see any game action with the team.

Hull KR is expected to pay a transfer fee to Warrington as the agreement is finalized, with Peters expressing confidence in Pangai Junior's potential contributions.

"We want to welcome Tevita Pangai Junior to Hull KR. Tevita has played at the highest level," Peters stated.

"On his day, Tevita is one of the most devastating forwards in the game.

"Tevita is hungry and determined to win over the fans and his teammates."

The contract is set to last only until the end of the year, which means Pangai Junior could soon re-enter the market. Nonetheless, the forward expressed his enthusiasm about joining the club.

"I'm really excited to be joining Hull KR," he commented.
