Magic Round 2026 Sets Attendance Records

The NRL's Magic Round for 2026 has shattered numerous records, marking its most significant event to date.

Since its launch in 2019, Magic Round has evolved into a festival-like celebration, drawing supporters from all 17 clubs to a single venue for an unparalleled fan experience.

This year, the New Zealand Warriors particularly stood out, selling over half a million dollars in merchandise at their pop-up store in Brisbane.

The NRL has released data indicating that this football festival continues to gain popularity annually, solidifying its status as a must-attend event in the Australian sports calendar.

This year's event achieved a new record with 148,661 total attendees for Magic Round, as Suncorp Stadium displayed a 'sold out' banner for all three days of the weekend.

The festival kicked off successfully, with the Women's State of Origin game two on Thursday night attracting an impressive 23,846 fans, even on a rainy night, and viewership exceeding 1 million for this matchup.

Throughout the weekend, the NRL's app and website drew 2.15 million users, leading to 11.3 million views on the match centre.

Additionally, the platform garnered 50.5 million total page views across both the app and website.

Notably, total Australian viewership saw a 15% increase from the previous year, reaching 6.5 million viewers.
