The Cook Islands Moana are gearing up to face off against the Papua New Guinea Orchids in a highly-anticipated match.

The Moana will have a strong lineup, with several returning World Cup stars and former New Zealand representatives.

Chantay Kiria-Ratu, a rising star who had an impressive season on the Gold Coast, will be back on the international stage.

She will be joined by Sharks star Kiana Takairangi and Raiders prop Kerehitina Matua, adding even more firepower to the Moana's attack.

The Cook Islands team will also introduce five new players who will be making their Moana debut.

This infusion of fresh talent aims to make a statement on the international stage after missing out on last year's World Cup finals.

On the other side, the Orchids are bolstered by NRLW experience, with five Cowboys debutants joining the team.

World Cup stars Elsie Albert and Ua Ravu will also return to lead the Orchids in their quest for victory.

The Orchids will be seeking redemption after suffering a heavy defeat to the Jillaroos last month in the Prime Minister's XIII.

They hope to turn things around and claim a win in front of their passionate home crowd at the Santos National Football Stadium.

The Pacific Championships will undoubtedly witness some intense competition between these two formidable teams.
