Jessica Sergis, a prominent figure in Australian women's sports and NRLW star, has emerged as a potential recruit for the new R360 rugby union competition, which aims to transform the sporting landscape.
Recently, the R360 rebel league has garnered attention by courting top-tier rugby league talents, making headlines across Australia's sports scene. Notable players such as Kalyn Ponga (Knights), Ryan Papenhuyzen (Storm), Roger Tuivasa-Sheck (Warriors), Zac Lomax (Eels), Herbie Farnworth (Dolphins), and Nelson Asofa-Solomona (Storm) are among those reportedly linked to this breakaway initiative.
Now, Sergis stands out as the first player from the NRLW to be associated with the R360, which plans to establish a women's league alongside its men's counterpart, as stated by The Daily Telegraph.
A member of the Sydney Roosters NRLW team, Sergis is celebrated as one of the top female rugby league athletes. At just 27 years old, she has already represented both Australia and New South Wales.
The R360 concept is still in its formative stages, intending to attract the brightest stars in rugby with lucrative contracts for participation in this separate league.
