In a strategic move reminiscent of past Rugby League legends calling the shots, Ivan Cleary has boldly announced his choice for the replacement of his injured son as the Panthers prepare to battle it out in the upcoming weeks before the finals without their star No.7 Nathan Cleary, who sustained a shoulder injury in a fierce encounter with the Storm.

The Panthers have named Brad Schneider to partner up with Jarome Luai in the halves, a duo that will need to step up their game in Cleary's absence.

On the upside, rep star Liam Martin is back from suspension, adding some much-needed firepower to the side.

Luke Garner and Paul Alamoti are also on the cusp of a comeback from injury, providing a boost to the team's morale.

On the bench, rising star Jack Cole has been given a shot, while Luke Sommerton takes over the hooker duties from the suspended Mitch Kenny.

The Panthers will face off against a desperate Raiders outfit, who have made some significant changes themselves, including Kaeo Weekes moving to five-eighth and Jordan Rapana returning from concussion protocols.

Meanwhile, over at the Broncos camp, Tristan Sailor has been brought in to fill the void left by the injured fullback Reece Walsh for their crucial match against the Eels.

Selwyn Cobbo returns to the wing, adding some much-needed speed to the Broncos lineup.

The Eels, on the other hand, are not to be underestimated, with Maika Sivo and Kelma Taulagi starting in the squad for their showdown up north.

As the stage is set for the upcoming clashes, it's clear that the teams will need to dig deep and draw upon their inner strength to come out on top in what promises to be a thrilling series of matches.
