Recent decisions from the NRL's Match Review Committee have led to charges against two notable players from their Saturday night matches.
In a clash where the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs met the Wests Tigers, and the Sydney Roosters took on the Melbourne Storm, action was high during the Origin period.
Sitili Tupouniua, a forward for the Bulldogs, has been charged with a grade 1 shoulder charge.
Because this is his second offence, the Tongan international faces a fine of $3000 if he opts for an early plea.
Should Tupouniua decide to contest the charge but lose at the judiciary, he will face a two-match suspension instead.
In the other match, the Roosters' Siua Wong received a grade 1 contrary conduct charge for an incident involving Storm playmaker Cameron Munster.
This will result in Wong facing a potential fine of $1800 with an early plea, which could rise to $2500 if he is found guilty at the panel.
Looking ahead, the Bulldogs are set to clash against the Parramatta Eels on June 8.
Meanwhile, the Roosters will make their way to Canberra to take on the Raiders.
