Ronnie Palmer, a legendary trainer in the NRL, has been let go by the Wests Tigers after an incredible 53-year run.

This news has caused an outpouring of support from fans and players alike, who see Palmer as a cult hero in the league.

Palmer's career began in 1971 with the Balmain Tigers, and he has since become the game's leading strength and conditioning trainer.

He has worked with several other NRL teams, as well as the NSW State of Origin team and Australian Kangaroos.

Despite feeling lost and let down by the Tigers' decision, Palmer remains gracious, stating "These things happen and you have to move on.

I feel a little bit let down but you have to cop these things and move on.

There's no sour grapes here." The NRL community has rallied around Palmer, showing their appreciation for his contributions to the game over the years.
