Stacey Jones will wait for scans before determining whether Naufahu Whyte can play in next Sunday's World Cup final.
The New Zealand forward injured his ankle during Saturday night's 34-10 win over Tonga and did not return.
Whyte came on in the 22nd minute and left the field in the 47th, after 25 minutes of play.
He made seven runs for 79 metres, including 34 post-contact metres, and recorded 13 tackles without a miss, two tackle busts and two offloads.
Channel 7 footage showed him being assessed in the sheds.
"It's an ankle injury, so he couldn't return to the field," Jones told reporters after the match.
Jones said, "We'll get scans and see where he's at, so fingers crossed it's not too bad, and he's available for next week. We'll know more tomorrow."
Warriors forward Tanner Stowers-Smith could replace Whyte. Scott Sorensen is another option, offering experience in the middle and back row.
Xavier Willison, Erin Clark and Joseph Tapine could also shift between the front row, back row and lock.
Keano Kini and Te Maire Martin were reserves for the semi-final, with Kalyn Ponga returning.
