Cameron Munster, the five-eighth for Melbourne Storm, continues to drop hints regarding his future in the sport and his plans for retirement.
Currently, Munster's contract expires after the 2027 season, and he will compete in the team's last match of the year against Cronulla Sharks this Saturday night.
This marks the first time in Munster's career that he will miss the finals, coinciding with the club's first absence from the top eight since 2010.
With his September off ahead, Munster shared with Code Sports what he plans to do, given he won't be playing after this weekend.
"Golf, having a hospitality business and just understanding the way the world works a little bit," Munster mentioned.
As someone who prefers not to dwell on the game too much, Munster considered the prospect of starting from scratch in a new field after his playing days.
"I've been so footy-minded and so selfish in my own ways over the last 13 years," he stated.
"Eventually footy goes, you have to go back and be a rookie when it comes to other things that you want to do, understand how the world works because I'm going to be going back into the real world eventually.
"It's exciting, but it's also daunting."
Earlier this year, the 31-year-old opened his own pub in Brisbane on Caxton Street, merging sport, hospitality, and enjoyment, which might become his post-career focus.
Munster explained his enthusiasm for establishing a pub and working in the hospitality sector.
