Melbourne Storm offer deals to stars

Cameron Munster in massive boost for Melbourne Storm amid NRL star's injury woes

Melbourne has opened extension discussions with winger Xavier Coates, who is recovering from a prolonged Achilles injury complicated by setbacks, CODE Sports reports.

The club is also offering Cameron Munster a deal worth $1 million, as uncertainty grows over his future in Melbourne.

Attention is also on Harry Grant and Stefano Utoikamanu, with the Storm reportedly tabling substantial offers to keep both beyond next season.

Grant has been offered a three-year contract, while Utoikamanu's offer runs for four years.

Grant has not yet activated his player option for 2028, and could soon be able to consider rival proposals.

Players whose contracts end in 2027 can negotiate with other clubs from November 1.

Grant and Utoikamanu are expected to assess their market value after that date, though doing so would not necessarily indicate they want to leave Melbourne.

Coates is considered one of the game's leading wingers when fit, and his athleticism and height make him a valuable attacking player.

If any of the four players have not signed by the end of the week, they can receive offers from rival clubs, potentially triggering a bidding contest.
