The Melbourne Storm have officially announced the re-signing of promising player Gabriel Satrick, extending his contract until the conclusion of 2028.
This two-year extension positions the Queensland under-19 representative as the likely primary backup to team captain Harry Grant in the hooking position.
Satrick made his NRL debut in Round 12 this season against the Canterbury Bulldogs, where he played 25 minutes off the bench and performed admirably.
A product of the Storm's pathways program, Satrick hails from North Queensland, having initially played for the Ipswich Jets in his youth before joining the Melbourne Storm in 2023.
He has successfully navigated through the Storm's Jersey Flegg system, contributing significantly to their 2025 premiership and scoring 4 tries in 13 NSW Cup games this season.
Last year, he appeared in ten matches for the North Sydney Bears, the Storm's feeder club, while also being part of the successful Jersey Flegg team.
"We're pleased to extend Gabe's contract through until the end of 2028," said Frank Ponissi, Melbourne Storm's director of football, commenting on the re-signing.
"He has progressed through the program since arriving at the Club, working his way through the pathways before making his first-grade debut this year."
"Gabe is a talented young footballer with plenty of potential, and we're excited to see his continued development in a Storm jersey."
