Despite having a contract option to stay with the Manly Sea Eagles for the next season, Matthew Lodge is garnering interest from other teams outside of the Northern Beaches.

After being given another chance by the Sea Eagles earlier this season, Lodge, previously linked to the St George Illawarra Dragons and South Sydney Rabbitohs, has started in six of his eight games and has shown his capabilities on the field.

At 30 years old, Lodge is nearing the end of his career, having played for four other clubs: the Tigers, Broncos, Warriors, and Roosters. He may be looking for one last significant contract as he considers his options.

As reported by Love Rugby League, he has been offered to several teams in the Super League, including the Leeds Rhinos, who are discussing a potential recruitment.

If he moves to Leeds, he would be under the guidance of Brad Arthur, the former Parramatta Eels coach, who is expected to finalize a multi-year deal to continue coaching abroad.

Lodge also confirmed to The Herald earlier this year that he has a player option to stay with the Sea Eagles, which must be exercised by October.
