In a recent update on the Manly Sea Eagles' injury woes, head coach Anthony Seibold has revealed that Jason Saab, the towering winger, could be out of action for up to six weeks due to a hamstring injury.
This blow comes after Saab's impressive performance in the team's Round 1 win over the South Sydney Rabbitohs during the historic season-opener in Las Vegas, where he ran for nearly 250 metres and even managed to score a try.
Unfortunately, Seibold disclosed that Saab is likely suffering from a Grade 2 hamstring tear, which will necessitate an extended period of rehabilitation.
As if the news couldn't get any worse for the Sea Eagles, there are rumblings that Karl Lawton, another key player, may not be fit for Round 2 against the Sydney Roosters due to an ankle injury.
With their star winger and potentially Lawton out of action, the Sea Eagles will need to dig deep and rally their remaining troops to fill the void left by these absent players.
Only time will tell how the team can adapt and overcome these setbacks, but the coaching staff will undoubtedly be working overtime to find suitable replacements and continue their campaign on a positive note.
