Jake Tago has attracted interest from Manly Sea Eagles and could be offered a supplementary contract.
The 27-year-old former Parramatta Eels player did not feature in the NRL this season, making 11 appearances in the NSW Cup.
Manly are also preparing for the likely departures of dummy-half Zach Dockar-Clay and Aaron Schoupp, who are both exploring options elsewhere.
Dockar-Clay joined the Sea Eagles on a one-year deal before 2026 after two seasons with the Sydney Roosters.
The 31-year-old has played 36 NRL matches and more than 142 in reserve grade, but appeared once for Manly's first grade side this year.
He was named the club's NSW Cup Best and Fairest at its end-of-season awards, and The Daily Telegraph linked him to Cronulla Sharks for 2027.
Dockar-Clay can also cover lock and the halves.
Schoupp, 25, is in talks with North Queensland Cowboys after making one first-grade appearance in 2026.
He has 58 NRL games and 12 tries, and his season was affected by a ruptured ACL suffered in the final match of 2025.
After beginning as a centre, Schoupp has moved into the second row.
