LeagueNews.co | Jason Patrick

Penrith Panthers prop Moses Leota has been cited by the NRL Judiciary for a crusher tackle on Cowboys player Sam McIntyre during their recent match.

The incident occurred in the 76th minute of the game and Leota has been charged with a Grade 1 offense.

Despite this, he will only face a monetary penalty and will be able to play in the upcoming game against the Dolphins at Suncorp Stadium.

Fortunately, no other Panthers players were charged from the match.

The incident adds to the ongoing conversation around player safety and the NRL's crackdown on dangerous tackles.
