Latrell Mitchell responds to ugly claims amid Sam Burgess furore at South Sydney

Latrell Mitchell, the fullback for the South Sydney Rabbitohs, has responded to claims that he is at odds with his teammates.

These claims suggest that Mitchell is given too much freedom at the club and is not held to the same standards as others.

The situation escalated when assistant coach Sam Burgess abruptly left the club, with only two weeks remaining until the NRL finals.

While the Rabbitohs stated that Burgess left to focus on the upcoming birth of his child and his future move to Warrington as head coach in 2024, reports have surfaced indicating that Burgess called out coach Jason Demetriou regarding perceived preferential treatment of Mitchell and Cody Walker.

As a result, a board meeting was held, and it was decided that Burgess would leave the club immediately.

Mitchell, on the other hand, has left his teammates in a difficult position after a "brain snap" during a match against the Knights last week resulted in a one-game suspension.

Unfortunately for the Rabbitohs, Mitchell will not be available for their final-round clash against the Roosters after elbowing Tyson Frizell.

The controversy surrounding Mitchell and the Rabbitohs has sparked discussions about the culture and dynamics within the team.

It remains to be seen how this situation will impact the Rabbitohs' performance in the upcoming NRL finals.
