Koloamatangi has made a significant impact in the NRL, earning recognition for his dynamic running ability and defensive prowess, in addition to his contributions to teams representing Tonga, New South Wales, and Australia.
With 151 games played, Koloamatangi's tenure concluded after facing the Newcastle Knights, marking a bittersweet finale.
The 28-year-old will continue his career with the St George Illawarra Dragons, after signing a substantial five-year contract during the recent off-season.
Another player leaving is 23-year-old Salesi Ataata, whose option for an extension to the 2027 season has been declined by the Rabbitohs.
Ataata, who started with the Otahuhu Leopards before moving to the Rabbitohs from the Sharks, featured in pre-season matches and made the extended bench during the 2025 season.
Speculation surrounds Ataata's future with Hull KR, which may soon confirm his signing for 2027.
He will be joined by Moala Graham-Taufa, an outside back also expected to sign with Hull KR.
This move was reported by Love Rugby League, noting that it will be the first signing under the club's new head coach Nathan Cayless.
