Knights forge ahead with a new heavy hitter

The Newcastle Knights are making significant changes to their roster as they prepare for the 2026 NRL season, recently signing forward Pasami Saulo after he was granted an early release from his contract with the Canberra Raiders.

This move follows a series of signings aimed at rebuilding the team under the leadership of Peter O'Sullivan, Head of Recruitment.

Notable additions have included Dominic Young from the Roosters, Dylan Brown from the Eels, and Lachlan Crouch from the Sharks.

Conversely, the Knights have also seen the departure of key players such as Leo Thompson, who has joined the Bulldogs, and Jayden Brailey, who is heading to the Raiders.

Additionally, the futures of several players on the current squad remain in limbo, including Adam Elliott, Jack Hetherington, and Tyson Frizell, as they approach the final months of their contracts.

In a report from zerotackle.com, it was highlighted that Pasami Saulo had been previously linked to a mid-season switch to Newcastle, making his signing a continuation of the Knights' strategy to strengthen their forward pack for the upcoming season.
