Josh Schuster, the former Manly Sea Eagles player who found himself out of favor and subsequently received a handsome payout earlier this year, may be staging a remarkable NRL comeback with the South Sydney Rabbitohs for the 2025 season.
The departure from the Sea Eagles was a messy affair, marked by struggles with injury and fitness that led Coach Anthony Seibold to try and resurrect Schuster through the NSW Cup to no avail.
After being on a hefty contract with high expectations, Schuster was swiftly shown the door within the early stages of the season.
Despite the setback, the 23-year-old with 50 NRL games to his name and a Test appearance for Samoa, has been keeping himself fit during his time away from the game in preparation for a potential return next season.
With talks of a return to the big league swirling around Schuster, it remains to be seen if he can bounce back and make a mark with the Rabbitohs, reigniting his career in a blaze of glory.
Only time will tell if the prodigal player can make a triumphant return to the field and showcase his talents once more on the NRL stage.
