Johnston Returns for NSW Women's Origin Game Two

Ellie in for game 2 – Tiana ruled out with injury

Ellie Johnston, who scored one of NSW's two tries in the first game, has been included in the lineup for game two against Queensland.

Johnston was a significant contributor in the series opener, scoring a crucial try that helped NSW secure a late victory.

In contrast, her Sharks teammate Tiana Penitani Gray will miss the upcoming match due to a knee injury.

Currently, there is no estimated recovery time for Penitani Gray, and she may not return for the rest of the Origin series.

She will start a rehabilitation process to prepare for the upcoming NRLW season.

Chantay Kiria Ratu, who had a strong debut performance, will again represent Queensland, while Quincy Dodd has been named on the extended bench for NSW.

The NSW Blues Women won the first match against Queensland 11-6, leading the series 1-0.

Following game two in Brisbane, the teams will face off again on Thursday, May 28, at Cbus Super Stadium on the Gold Coast.

Last year, the NSW Blues secured the Ampol Women's State of Origin Shield with a 2-1 victory over Queensland.
