Joey Manu is set to return to league after signing a two-year contract with the PNG Chiefs as their latest marquee player.
The announcement of Manu's much-anticipated deal with the Chiefs came on Monday morning, securing his comeback to the NRL in 2028 after he left for overseas competition nearly two years ago.
Several NRL clubs have already shown interest in signing Manu for the latter part of 2027, once he wraps up his final year of a deal worth an estimated €1 million ($1.6 million) with the French side Racing 92.
The addition of Manu marks the seventh signing for PNG and follows the recruitment of Zac Lomax, both of whom are notable returns to the NRL after visiting the Chiefs' facilities in Port Moresby.
