Jillaroos await Robinson wrist scans

Jillaroos celebrate a try and Julia Robinson injured.

Australia beat England 78-0 to top their group, with Jillaroos coach Jess Skinner saying the side had played their style.

"I'm happy with the win," Skinner said. "I said at halftime it felt like we were playing the style of footy, which was nice to get to this week."

Tamika Upton led the early attack, and Jamie Chapman, Jocelyn Kelleher, Isabelle Kelly and Abbi Church each scored twice.

The Jillaroos next face Wales in their final group-stage match.

Brisbane Broncos winger Julia Robinson left the field holding her wrist after it appeared to become trapped in a tackle involving a teammate.

Channel 7 reporter Katie Brown said Robinson appeared to have fractured her wrist. "She will miss the remainder of the tournament," Brown said.

England international James Graham also suggested a teammate caused the injury. "Awful news for Robinson there," Graham said. "It looked like friendly fire."

Skinner said Robinson went to hospital for scans but was in good spirits beforehand. "She's getting scans done," Skinner said after the game. "She was in good spirits, having something to eat before she headed off to the hospital, which is very true to her."

Brien Seeney of "NRL Physio" said a fractured wrist often takes three to six weeks to recover from, while the World Cup final is about three weeks away.

England coach Stuart Barrow said his side had been outclassed. "Listen, we got blown away by an excellent team - a team I think that's probably one of the best in the world across all sports at the moment," Barrow said. "They're dominant."
