Exciting news out of titans.com.au as Liyou is aiming for his shot at the NRL, with the Titans affiliates coming together for the first time in a showdown between the Ipswich Jets and Tweed Seagulls this Saturday.

The Hostplus Cup clash is being touted as a breeding ground for future NRL stars, with the two teams meeting for the first time under the new Gold Coast Titans affiliate structure.

The Ipswich Jets have joined the Seagulls as feeder clubs for the Titans, and the benefits are already evident as Ipswich secured their first win in over a year and went toe-to-toe with powerhouse teams like the Redcliffe Dolphins and Burleigh Bears.

As the affiliates gear up for their highly-anticipated face-off, there are plenty of storylines to follow.

The match will serve as an NRL curtain raiser at Cbus Super Stadium, adding to the excitement.

Tanah Boyd has been dropped back to the Jets and will showcase his skills in the green and white jersey once again, while the battle between Joe Stimson and Jacob Alick in the lock position promises to be a thrilling contest.

For players like Titans development forward Ben Liyou, this weekend's game is a golden opportunity to impress Gold Coast coach Des Hasler.

The 23-year-old, who previously had ties to Tweed, is back in action after missing the 2023 season due to an ACL injury.

With the stage set for a showcase of talent and determination, Liyou and his fellow players are ready to seize the moment and make their mark in the world of Rugby League.
