Harris: Strange time to be honest

Tohu Harris, the warhorse of the New Zealand Warriors, has recently made the tough call to hang up his boots after a stellar career spanning 234 NRL games.

The 33-year-old legend announced his retirement on January 9, just two days after celebrating another trip around the sun.

In a candid chat with warriors.kiwi, Harris admitted that this decision has hit him like a defensive line charge.

Despite leading the Warriors 52 times in his 117 games with the club, a nagging wrist injury forced him to sideline himself for the 2024 season.

With surgery on the horizon, Harris knew it was time to bow out gracefully and focus on life beyond the field.

"It's a strange time, to be honest," Harris reflected, using all his experience to navigate this new chapter in his life.

The Kiwi powerhouse may have hung up his jersey, but his legacy on the Rugby League field will be remembered for years to come.

Time to hang up the boots, but the memories of passion and dedication will never fade.
