Gould states Bulldogs roster complete, no new signings

The Canterbury Bulldogs have called full-time on their signing spree for now, as confirmed by director of football Phil Gould in a social media announcement.

Despite making some big moves in the player market recently, including securing Tom Amone from the Leigh Leopards and Sitili Tupouniua after his mid-season release from the Catalans Dragons, the Bulldogs still have some room to move in terms of salary cap space and roster spots.

Gould, known for his strategic signings in the past, hinted that the Bulldogs are not in a hurry to add any more players to their squad at the moment.

In response to a fan query, he mentioned they are "just keeping the powder dry" for now.

"Just keeping the powder dry at present ...

Quite happy with forward talent coming through the academy programs ...

Plus a few new ones in the top 30 roster already," Gould shared on social media.

With Gould at the helm, the Bulldogs seem to be taking a calm and calculated approach to their recruitment strategy, focusing on nurturing young talent and making strategic additions to their squad.

It's a game plan that has served them well in the past, and fans can expect more strategic moves in the future.
