St George Illawarra playmaker Junior Amone, along with his father Talatau Amone, have been found guilty of a shocking incident that unfolded on a rooftop.

The NRL star was charged with arming himself with a hammer and chasing a tradesman off the roof, resulting in the victim falling two storeys and sustaining severe injuries.

According to reports from news.com.au, the court heard that the incident occurred when Jai King and Dean West were working on a house and got involved in a heated argument with a group of men over a parked Nissan Navara.

The situation quickly escalated, with tensions rising between the parties involved.

It was alleged that Talatau Amone, the father of Junior Amone, took matters into his own hands and caused further trouble.

He reportedly elbowed the rear-vision mirror of the Nissan Navara, causing damage by snapping off the indicator.

This action seemed to fuel the fire and intensify the confrontation.

In an attempt to escape the escalating violence, Mr.

King made a daring leap onto a neighboring roof.

However, Junior Amone, armed with a hammer, pursued him relentlessly.

Tragically, Mr.

King's desperate escape ended in disaster as he fell from the roof, crashing into an air conditioning unit on his way down.

He suffered severe injuries as a result of the fall.

Throughout the legal proceedings, the defense team for Junior Amone argued that this was a case of mistaken identity.

They maintained that their client was wrongly accused of being the assailant and claimed that the true perpetrator was someone else entirely.

The guilty verdict delivered by the court highlights the serious nature of the incident and the consequences of such violent actions.

It serves as a reminder that even those in the public eye, such as NRL stars, should be held accountable for their behavior and face the legal consequences when found guilty.
