Gordon Chan Kum Tong, a talented 21-year-old hooker, has been selected for the Samoan squad in the upcoming Pacific Championships.

According to a report from seaeagles.com.au, Chan Kum Tong's impressive season continues with this latest achievement.

His NRL debut against the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in round 26 at Accor Stadium was a memorable one.

Despite the pressure, he played exceptionally well in front of his family and friends, leaving a lasting impression on the field.

In a display of sportsmanship, Manly captain Daly Cherry-Evans even assisted him in converting a penalty goal during the game.

A week later, Chan Kum Tong scored his first NRL try at 4 Pines Park, thanks to a well-executed pass from Jason Saab.

Born to Samoan parents, with his father being of half-Chinese descent, Chan Kum Tong's success can be attributed to his development through the Sea Eagles Pathways Academy, where he excelled in the junior representative ranks for Manly.

It is worth noting that both his Manly teammates, Daly Cherry-Evans and Jake Trbojevic, have also been named in the Kangaroos squad.
