Canterbury winger Josh Addo-Carr has made a shocking revelation about his involvement in a brawl at the Koori Knockout tournament, which resulted in his suspension from the Kangaroos.
Addo-Carr, who missed Australia's win against Samoa, admitted that he was knocked out before the altercation took place.
The incident occurred while he was playing for the Sydney All Blacks in the annual tournament that features both bush and park footy players as well as NRL stars.
The match was ultimately cancelled due to the brawl.
Addo-Carr suggested that earlier incidents during the game may have contributed to the violent scenes.
He stated, "I was copping it all game against the Wallgett boys and ended up getting knocked out, put to sleep five, ten minutes into the game." Despite the suspension and a $5000 fine, Addo-Carr appealed the decision.
He was initially selected for the Kangaroos but was subsequently ruled out of the two Pacific Tests against Samoa and New Zealand.
