Dragons captain Ben Hunt has been selected for the Kangaroos' 21-man squad in their upcoming Pacific Championships.

Joining him are centre Moses Suli and returning forward Hame Sele, who have been listed for Tonga, while Jack de Belin and Dan Russell will join the Kumuls squad.

On the women's side, NRLW standouts Raecene McGregor, Tyla Nathan-Wong, Angelina Teakaraanga-Katoa, Taylor-Adeline Mapusua, and Margot Vella have also been named to represent their respective nations.

Hunt, 33 years old, will aim to add to his twelve caps when the tournament begins with a World Cup Final rematch against Samoa.

The Kangaroos will have a week's break before facing the Kiwis, with two wins securing their spot in the Pacific Championships Final.

In Hunt's international debut in 2014, he scored a try off the bench against England in the Four Nations.

He also played in five of the Kangaroos' six matches in last year's World Cup, including their victory in the final.
