Fijian Forward Tui Kamikamica Eyes Rabbitohs Deal

LeagueNews.co | Jason Patrick

Fijian forward Tui Kamikamica is reportedly in talks with the South Sydney Rabbitohs regarding a potential NRL opportunity to conclude his career in Australia. The 31-year-old player, who participated in last night's grand final against the Brisbane Broncos, is off-contract at the end of 2025 with the Victorian club and has not yet agreed to a new contract within the NRL.

Reports indicate that the Storm are experiencing significant salary cap challenges, which hinder their ability to offer Kamikamica a salary that reflects his true market value. Currently, the Storm has presented him with a minimum wage offer; however, he is exploring options elsewhere.

Initially, he was linked to the Brisbane Broncos and Rabbitohs, but those initial negotiations did not materialize. Instead, Kamikamica has attracted interest from St Helens in the English Super League. Recent reports suggest that he has chosen to decline that opportunity from St Helens, preferring to remain in Australia.

The experienced forward has not completely committed to a minimum wage deal in Victoria and has reportedly rekindled interest from South Sydney.
