The South Sydney Rabbitohs are optimistic about David Fifita's potential, as club captain Cameron Murray declares the talented recruit poised for a breakthrough after less than stellar seasons with the Gold Coast Titans.

Fifita, recognized as one of the most physically gifted forwards in the NRL, has made a strong impression during his first pre-season in the Rabbitohs' colors following his transfer from the Titans.

Murray has noted that the 26-year-old appears rejuvenated, fit, and dedicated as he gears up for a new chapter under renowned coach Wayne Bennett.

At an ASICS event in Sydney, Murray shared that Fifita has approached his rehabilitation and conditioning with determination, particularly after recovering from a foot injury.

"He's been really good, and he's really impressed me," Murray said, highlighting the player's commitment. "He came in focused on getting his foot right, worked hard in the gym, and once he hit the field, he's been all guns blazing."

Although Fifita has often been labeled as one of the league's underachieving stars, the Rabbitohs are hopeful that the supportive environment at Redfern will finally enable him to realize his considerable potential.
