NRL stars Dom Young, Victor Radley, Elliott Whitehead, Tom Burgess, and John Bateman have been named in the 24-man England squad for the historic Test series against Tonga.

The announcement was made by the official website of the Dolphins NRL team, dolphinsnrl.com.au.

However, there is unfortunate news as Broncos centre Herbie Farnworth has been ruled out of the squad due to injury.

Farnworth joins a number of other players who have also been sidelined with injuries.

Additionally, former Raiders halfback George Williams, who is the England captain, will not be able to participate as he has been suspended.

Williams received a two-match ban for a shoulder charge during Warrington's finals loss to St Helens.

The extent of his involvement in the three Test series is yet to be determined and will be decided at an appeal hearing on Tuesday night.
