NRLW Preview: Emotional Indigenous Round occasion

Emotions will be running high when the NZ Warriors make history in tonight's NRLW match against the Canberra Raiders at FMG Stadium Waikato, the Home of the Tainui People in Hamilton/Kirikiriroa.

This match marks the first of three standalone games for the Warriors at their new home ground for the rest of the regular season.

Moreover, the occasion is particularly significant as it coincides with the second week of the NRLW's Indigenous Round.

The Warriors will debut their first-ever NRLW indigenous jersey, Te Kahu Here, making the night especially meaningful for Waikato products Harata Butler and Capri Paekau.

After two away games, the Warriors return home to face a Raiders side eager for an upset to secure their first win after six consecutive losses.

The Raiders have shown resilience in their last two losses but have struggled to break their losing streak, falling 28-44 to the high-flying Broncos last week.
