Eels Dominate Sea Eagles 44-10 in NSW Cup

Match Report: NSW Cup Round 18 vs Eels

The Manly Warringah Sea Eagles faced a tough defeat, losing 44-10 to the Parramatta Eels in Round 18 of the NSW Cup.

On a chilly Sunday night in Kellyville, the Eels dominated early, energized by their home crowd.

In just the seventh minute, after a six-again call, winger Devonte Vaivela scored in the corner, putting the Eels ahead 4-0.

Api Twidle's conversion attempt missed, but the Eels quickly struck again in the 14th minute.

Prop Ryda Talagi powered through the defense to score under the posts, and the successful conversion made it 10-0.

Joash Papalii assisted Vaivela for another try just moments later, extending the lead to 14-0.

The following five minutes saw both teams trading sets, but Manly struggled to convert their chances into points.

Fullback Braith Alexander showcased strong play, while Tex Hoy's near miss kept Manly scoreless.

A line break by Vaivela around the 26-minute mark set up Zach Visconti for a try, bringing the score to 20-0 just before halftime.
