The Dragons Lower Grades Wrap for Round 26 has been released by the fiery team at dragons.com.au.
The results from the Knock-On Effect NSW Cup, Jersey Flegg Cup, and Harvey Norman NSW Women's Premiership competitions are in, and there's plenty to talk about.
In a classic tale of ups and downs, both the Knock-On Effect NSW Cup and Jersey Flegg sides closed out their seasons on Saturday, while the Steelers' Harvey Norman NSW Women's Premiership team continues to push towards the playoffs.
Young gun Ashton Ward made an impact with a brace of tries in only his second Knock-On Effect NSW Cup appearance.
Meanwhile, a trio of debutants in their first game of the season stepped up with clutch plays in the second half.
Matthew Hunter and Domenico De Stradis also got in on the action with two tries each, joined by Max Tupou, Ryley Smith, and Mohamed Alameddine crossing the line as well.
Unfortunately, Aaron Hertsch's squad finished the year on a tough note, with a four-game losing streak as injuries piled up and seasoned players moved on.
Despite the challenges, the future looks bright for the Dragons lower grades, with nine of Saturday's 17 players starting the year in the SG Ball Cup.
They'll be back stronger in 2025, ready to make their mark on the field.
Overall, it was a weekend of highs and lows for the Dragons lower grades, but with determination and hard work, they'll be back fighting fit for the next season.
