Dragons forward Toby Couchman is in hot water after being charged with a Grade 2 crusher tackle during the squad's recent drubbing by the Penrith Panthers in Wollongong.
The incident, a rough challenge that put unnecessary pressure on the head and neck of Penrith's Maverick Geyer, occurred just before halftime.
Couchman, known for his clean record on the field, is facing a two-week suspension with a guilty plea.
Should he choose to take his chances at the judiciary, he risks a third week on the sidelines.
In addition to Couchman, five other players have been charged following Sunday's matches, including two players from the Dragons-Panthers clash.
Queensland Maroons' Jaydn Su'a received a Grade 1 careless high tackle charge, while Izack Tago was hit with a Grade 1 dangerous contact charge.
Both players have previous offenses on their records, meaning they will have to cough up $1800 with an early guilty plea or $2500 if they decide to contest the charges at the judiciary.
